David had a habit of talking in his sleep, something every woman he’d ever dated liked to bring to his attention. If it were nonsense spewing from his lips then it’d be well enough, but it wasn’t, he was telling the truth in front of a dreamland judge.

“I’m not as happy as I thought I’d be.”
